On March 15, we closed on the acquisition of 100% of the tray firelighter business, from a Kemetyl, Holland. This will allow us to introduce our innovative, individually sealed pop-out firelighters in blister packaging that will make fire lighting more convenient – starting from Q3 2024. We are pleased to announce that our brand-new facility, FLAMMAT ECO, started production in January 2024. This expansion has doubled our production and storage capacity at the Flammat campus. With this addition, we take pride in joining a very short and distinguished list of fully integrated (full assortment) firelighters manufacturers in the whole world. We are thrilled to inform you that we have completed the last steps toward a new, updated visual identity of our flagship brand – FLAMMAT. It includes refreshed and more dynamic layout of our commercial packages, a new web site, and an updated product catalog. The graphic design and marketing research behind the effort were comprehensive and took inputs from all of our key markets for six months.
The phased introduction of the new look started in August 2019 and is now fully completed. Market labeling and instructions, distributor data and bar codes remain unchanged.

Flammat factory in Bela Crkva introduced Flammat ECO Firelighters, made from 100% natural ingredients from pure vegetable origin. Safe and clean handling, easily biodegradable, and safe for the environment. Flammat ECO is virtually odorless and smokeless way to light a fire. It iserfect for starting a barbecue (charcoal or pellet fire), or an indoor fireplace.
During the summer of 2016, Flammat factory in Bela Crkva added another key product to its’ manufacturing portfolio: Flammat Premium Firelighters, with no unpleasant odor and much reduced soot/smoke production. It is a perfect choice for lighting barbeques, stoves and fireplaces, and for any occasion when a clean-handling product is a must.
On Friday, October 18th 2013, the new production and distribution center for kerosene firelighters “Flammat doo” was officially opened in Bela Crkva. Flammat is a joint venture of the German company CARL WARLICH GmbH and the local co-founders ENERGOTRADE, Belgrade.
The factory was officially opened by Dr. Bojan Pajtić, President of the Government of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, in the presence of other dignitaries, guests, contractors and partners.
The business strategy involves taking over existing Carl Warlich GmbH customer base in the region, as well as expanding the business into new markets and customers in Eastern Europe and Russia.
Flammat participated in the Barbecue expo 2013 fair in Moscow, from September 16-19. German technology together with the ability of the Serbian factory to effect tax-free exports to Russia were recognised by many visitors to the booth as the main differentiating factors, and great advantages. Our booth generated a lot of interest, and has already resulted in several ongoing sales, distributorship and agency discussions.
Flammat is producing and distributing firelighters and other related products under the Flammat brand. The new Flammat factory in Bela Crkva, Serbia, started to operate in September 2013.
