Founded in 1904 in Treffurt – Germany – Flammat proudly continues over a century of tradition and history. It has over 60 years of unique experience in the production of firelighters since Mr. Heinz Warrlich introduced a new system of manufacturing charcoal lighters in 1951, which is still unique in Europe to this day.

Flammat d.o.o. was established in 2011 as a German-Serbian Joint Venture (JV) for the manufacture and sale of firelighters and related products. In 2013, production started at the new location in Bela Crkva, Serbia. Our production process benefits from modern technology, automation, and regular quality improvements synonymous with an internationally renowned German business. Today, between the two factories, we produce over 60 million different firelighters annually.
We take advantage of the long tradition of quality and efficiency, which is awarded with the ISO 9001:2015 quality seal. We also proudly maintain an FSC ™ CoC (Forest Stewardship Council ™ Chain of Custody) Certification for all our ECO products, thus guaranteeing our customers that our firelighters come from a forest and supply chain that is managed responsibly. Finally, we boast an Excellent SME Ranking, issued and annually renewed by the Chamber of Commerce- placing us among top 1 % of all local SMEs, on parameters of liquidity and creditworthiness.

The heart of our production consists of two fully automated white firelighter lines. ECO firelighter and soot cleaner handling takes place in a separate part of the plant. Every aspect of production is minutely controlled, from the intake of tested and preapproved raw materials, through 100% in-flow quality control, to the flexible end-of-the-line commercial and transport packaging and labelling.
Products then flow into the newly purpose-built temperature and humidity controlled storage, awaiting just-in-time, always-on-time delivery.

Our product range firmly rests on four core items in the firelighting market – white firelighters (standard and premium/odorless), ECO firelighters, and soot cleaner – but it also extends to a rounded product portfolio of related products. Among these, are: premium wooden wool, liquid and gel firelighters, 2 in 1 universal BBQ and glass cleaning spray, bioethanol, etc.
